Illustration Friday - SAFE

The best thing about this little story is that it's true! I was sitting in an outdoor pub in a port town along Lake Erie a few Sunday afternoons ago, listening to some live music and a woman walked up to the bar with a tiny dog in her large pink handbag. Her bicycle was parked against the railing belonging to the pub.

Sometimes on Sunday afternoons, Bella would be called to come inside

Where she would be popped into her owner's big pink bag so she was all safe and cozy

Then they would ride down to the local pub

To enjoy a few hours of live blues.

there is a lot of interesting stuff both here and on your fine art blog. I love the colors on your digital work and the depth and space in your pencil drawings and paintings

thank you, by the way, for the very thoughtful and helpful critique on mine

I'm a sucker for a good sequential. Just the right number of stops on the trip, if you ask me. Goodly number of panels for the amount of information you passed on. Cool beans.

Bella-isimo! I like seeing dogs in pubs, as long as they are on the floor! Recently though, I've seen unruly dogs - on the bar! ICK!

Really great short story with marvelous illustrations. That little dog looks completely happy and safe in that satchel.

The guy who shares office space with us has a little chi-hooa-hooa that goes everywhere with him. This reminded me of little TacoBelle.
