Illustration Friday - PLAY

These panels are from a small series of drawings I work on from time to time, about what it's like to take my children shopping. Anyone who has kids, or remembers what it was like to have siblings, knows all too well the dynamics involved.

My daughter, who turned 10 this May is entering the golden age of embarassment. My son, who is 7, still resides somewhere within that magical blurry line between reality and pretend.

This is adorable. I used to embarass my older sister by bringing a disintegrating blanket EVERYWHERE.
