About Me

- Name: Gabrielle
- Location: Ontario, Canada
These automatic drawings are what happens when I empty my mind and just let my hand draw. Sometimes I get an idea about what to do next while drawing. When I do, I go with the flow. This is an experiment. I hope to make some automatic drawings every day, maybe even for the next whole year. I want to watch them develop and see if I'll discover a personal visual language. These are not finished, polished pieces. I draw them on letter sized bond paper with pencil. The idea is to not become too precious about the process. Most of them take only a few minutes to complete.

Love both pictures! Your first one made me really laugh because it was something that I could relate too. My oldest son ( 5 at the time ) went through a period of 6 months that whenever we went shopping he had to put his Batman Halloween costume on. Have a great camping trip!
Lovely images! They're always so much fun! Have a nice camping trip! I'll be waiting four your art until then :)
I love your M. Batterave piece! Amazing! Awesome! I enjoy your humourous illos very much, but really fell in love with your graphite drawings!
Lovely colours, I really like the effect of the light on the tent, really warm!
